The Future Services Institute is born from our belief in order to truly advance human services to improve the lives of all Minnesotans, we need to come together in partnership to do this courageous and important work. This is why we took this bold move forward, building this initiative from scratch.

As part of the Public and Nonprofit Leadership Center of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, we believe in creating and nurturing excellence in leadership and management in various ways, be it research, teaching, professional development, consulting, and outreach.

Once again, we are hosting a 3-day Art of Hosting and Harvesting Conversations that Matter workshop aimed at the human services sector. The Leading Courageously in the Human Services Sector workshop is designed for learning simple yet powerful practices that enables authentic engagement that builds community, activates shared intelligence, and
motivates leadership for change.

Today, in fields like human services, where technical solutions are often the default, we must become better at inviting more people to co-create, eective services. Now, the need to build individual and organizational capacity to navigate the complexity of our world with authenticity is even more critical.

SAVE THE DATE: Redesign for Whole Families

Redesign for Whole Families: 1st Annual Research, Policy & Practice Series & Summit
May 14 & 15, 2018 | Minneapolis, Minnesota

In May 2018, the Future Services Institute will host a 1.5 day Summit that highlights relevant research for policy makers and program leaders committed to integrating publicly funded human services to better serve whole families. Come engage in days of rich dialogue. Rarely there are opportunities for national researchers and program managers to engage in mutual dialogue about the insights uncovered from research and practice. We need to consider: what needs to be taken into account to design more effective programs and systems to support families?

Join us in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. Keep an eye out for future announcements on this summit. You can join our Update list below to be kept in the loop for registration and details. If you are local to Minnesota, join us throughout December 2017 to April 2018 for our series of pre-summit brown bags!
